Global Data Center Management Releases nlyte 5.0

Latest version includes real-time data views, power management capabilities

Global Data Center Management (GDCM) has released version 5.0 of nlyte with new features for real-time data views and transparency.

According to the company, nlyte was designed to help companies reduce costs and risks by streamlining their operational processes, increasing capacity, and monitoring performance indicators through real-time data feeds.

The latest version includes new power management capabilities that let users view their data center's power consumption levels, and compare them to planned consumption levels. It also gives real-time views into capacity and includes an improved floor planner.

Other features include a Web-based workflow management tool and the ability to input large amounts of data in one transaction.

"I'm proud to unveil a significant new chapter in the development of GDCM's product portfolio," said GDCM CEO Michael Evans in a prepared statement. "Getting the most productivity and cost savings from datacenter infrastructure is the goal of every CIO, and nylite 5.0 is the most effective solution to optimize existing IT assets before investing in new machines, software and cooling systems."
