Terremark has added to its portfolio of secure cloud offerings with Enterprise Cloud Private Edition. This private-cloud solution is built on the enterprise-class architecture of Terremark’s flagship cloud computing offering, the Enterprise Cloud, but is designed as a single-tenant environment that meets the security and compliance requirements of many large enterprises and government agencies.

Enterprise Cloud Private Edition is an extension of the company’s hybrid cloud strategy, offering customers the capability of migrating application workloads between traditional and cloud environments -- including their own dedicated infrastructure, Terremark’s cloud platforms, and cloud resources offered by other providers -- seamlessly and securely. Enterprises and agencies running application workloads in this private cloud can connect easily into the company’s public cloud platform for bursting during peak usage periods and as part of a cloud migration strategy.

The Private Edition solution lets customers use multiple hypervisors, operating systems, and private network integration through Terremark’s carrier-neutral data centers.

Terremark’s portfolio of cloud computing solutions have the service-level agreements, security models, professional services, and world-class data centers that allow organizations to run their critical applications in the cloud with confidence. With the addition of CloudSwitch software, customers can bridge their existing IT infrastructure with Terremark’s cloud computing services to create a hybrid model for enterprise IT. This unique capability allows customers to connect seamlessly to Terremark’s public and private cloud services for workload portability. The CloudSwitch software also supports multiple clouds and hypervisors, allowing customers to migrate application workloads to other cloud providers or back to their data centers without modification.

The Enterprise Cloud Private Edition solution is available now. Additionally, a customized private cloud offering designed by the company’s team of cloud experts and based on the same highly secure architecture as the Enterprise Cloud Private Edition offering is available for deployment in customer facilities and other non-Terremark locations.
