ScienceLogic has launched an extended EM7 family of IT management appliances designed to meet the needs of organizations of any size, from small and mid-size businesses (SMB) to Fortune 500 companies and carriers. All EM7 appliances adhere to a core product philosophy: to deliver solutions that automate and simplify IT management, work out of the box, and enable major IT operations tools consolidation for network, systems, virtualization, application, and cloud management.
David Link, CEO of ScienceLogic, said, "We started this company because, as IT operations people ourselves, we felt the need in the market for a holistic monitoring solution that covered all the infrastructure components and technologies that make up day-to-day IT service delivery, at a price point and within a deployment timeframe that helped instead of hurt IT. With the addition of the new product lines, we are able to service a wider market, ensuring that no matter the size or the needs, IT operations teams don't let budget constraints or unnecessary complexity keep them from procuring the tools they need to get their jobs done."
EM7 G1 is designed for the needs of SMBs with 50 to 150 networked devices. EM7 G1 Meta-Appliances work out of the box by including extensive monitoring policies, based on industry best practices, and a Dynamic Discovery engine that identifies devices on the network and then automatically applies the correct monitoring template. Pricing TBD. General availability: Q4 2009.
EM7 G2 is our current line of meta-appliances designed for the needs of mid-sized organizations with up to 2000 networked devices. EM7 G2 meta-appliances provide consolidated solutions with pre-integrated fault and performance management plus service desk and asset management. Mid-sized organizations have many of the same monitoring requirements as large enterprises but less resources to bring to bear against IT operations, making it necessary to have tools that can automate as much of the "run the business" functions as possible to free up critical resources to focus on helping the business grow. Starts at $32,000. Available Now.
EM7 G3 is ScienceLogic's newest solution and is geared towards large enterprises, service providers or carriers with up to 10,000 networked devices distributed globally, in enterprise data centers, in remote or mobile assets, in private clouds or public clouds. The first monitoring solution designed specifically for the distributed and constantly shifting components of today's dynamic infrastructure, the EM7 G3 network management fabric includes a runbook automation engine, advanced chargeback and cost allocation functions, built-in redundancy for high availability, and the first decentralized monitoring architecture with security from the core to the edge where devices are monitored. Starts at $85,000. General availability: June 2009.
