IBM Announces BAAN-based ERP Protection Program For RS/6000

IBM today announced its Performance Protection Plan for RS/6000, a two-year, no-charge program created to provide performance safeguards for customers implementing BAAN Company-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications.

With Performance Protection Plan for RS/6000, IBM agrees to meet "specified customer performance expectations during the initial 24 months, or customers will qualify for a no-charge performance upgrade from IBM," according to Lou Bifano, IBM's VP of Solutions and Strategy for RS/6000.

This initial edition of the Performance Protection Plan for RS/6000, addresses BAAN Company (Menlo Park, Calif.) ERP solutions specifically and is expected to be the first in a series that extends out to other ERP packages as well.
