All Aboard the Midrange Express
IBM has launched a package of outsourcing services called Midrange Express, designed to help small and medium businesses with the day-to-day management, maintenance and support of AS/400e servers at a fixed, low rate.
Midrange Express consists of a comprehensive, scaleable set of services ranging from base level -- monitoring, help desk support, account management and daily backups -- to full systems management. IBM Global Services and IBM Business Partners are providing the services. Managed services are delivered at either an IBM secure data center or via a remote link.
The program is now available for AS/400 customers in the United States, Europe, Canada, Latin America and parts of the Asia Pacific region. It will be offered to additional geographies and midrange platforms in early 1999.
