Savoir Signs Distribution Deal with Compaq
Savoir Technology Group Inc. (Campbell, Calif.) announced it has signed an ongoing distribution contract with Compact Computer Corp. (Houston), according to published reports.
Under the terms of the contract, Savoir will distribute a variety of Compaq products, including Prosignia and Proliani servers; Digital Alpha servers for NT; Compaq Professional Workstations; Prosignia and DeskPro desktops; Prosignia and Armada Notebook; StorageWorks software and networking products.
"Our goal is to replicate at Savoir Technology Group what we have built at our Business Partner Solutions [San Antonio] subsidiary -- a highly successful distribution and service operation largely dedicated to the products of one manufacturer," says Scott Munro, chairman and CEO of Savoir.
