How Many CEOs Does It Take To Change The HP Way?

George A. Thompson,Editor-in-Chief

Only time will tell, it seems for veteran HP watchers. On April 6, Lew Platt, HP’s numero uno CEO announced four new HP CEOs (two for HP”s computing business and two for HP’s imaging business) “to increase authority and accountability in HP's four computing and imaging businesses.” The four CEOs (and new presidents) who will report to Platt are:

  1. Ann M. Livermore, president and chief executive officer, Enterprise Computing Solutions
  2. Duane E. Zitzner, president and chief executive officer, Computer Products.

The two imaging executives are as follows:
  3. Antonio M. Perez, president and chief executive officer, Inkjet Imaging Solutions; and
  4. Carolyn M. Ticknor, president and chief executive officer, LaserJet Imaging Systems.
"These men and women have built substantial businesses and are well-equipped to capitalize on HP's core initiatives and technologies to support HP's new focus on e-services," says Platt. “They have full authority to adapt their business models to their own competitive landscapes. It's an exciting new world at HP, and I believe our customers, partners, employees and shareholders will see a difference.”
