Lawson Restructures, Closes Deal
AS/400 Lawson Software (Minneapolis) announced the restructuring of its former Internet Products division into the Advanced Technologies division, along with the promotion of William Lawson Jr. to the position of executive VP of that division.
As executive VP, Lawson is expected to oversee the future direction and development of the company's Web products, which include solutions for financials, human resources, procurement, supply chain and performance management.
In other Lawson news, the company announced it has completed its acquisition of ijob Inc., a maker of a strategic, Web-based human resources solution designed to automate and reengineer job candidate registration, recruitment and selection processes.
Lawson plans to integrate the ijob solution into its Lawson Insight II Human Resources process suite and will also license it as an independent recruiting solution of the Lawson Insight II Business Management System.
