NetObjects Accelerates e-Business
NetObjects Inc. (Redwood, Calif.) announced the commercial availability of its NetObjects Authoring Server Suite for IBM WebSphere. Combined with IBM’s Web application server, NetObjects Authoring Server Suite -- an intranet-building product for enterprises -- is expected to enable enterprise customers to accelerate their e-business initiatives.
NetObjects Authoring Server for IBM WebSphere is an optimized version of NetObjects Authoring Server Suite for the IBM WebSphere Application Server, Standard Edition. The solution integrates NetObjects Authoring Server Suite’s collaborative capabilities with those of the WebSphere Application Server, Standard Edition, through Java servlets and components built by NetObjects.
In addition, NetObjects announced that its professional services division will offer customized consulting services ranging from architectural planning and needs analysis to application design and development for the NetObjects/IBM solution.
NetObjects Authoring Server Suite is installed on a Windows NT server, but runs on a variety of versions of IBM’s WebSphere, including WebSphere for the AS/400.
“NetObjects Authoring Server Suite will be an excellent complement to the WebSphere product line,” says John Swainson, general manager of application integration and middleware for IBM Software. “NetObjects has built a platform that allows corporations to build their intranets, which can now be integrated with WebSphere applications.”
