Alliance Emphasizes EC Execution
Sterling Commerce Inc. and Keane Inc. have created a Web solutions services to address the spectrum of a company's needs from satisfying the priorities of the CEO through successful implementation and management of an Internet business plan, according to published reports.
Together, Sterling Commerce and Keane will provide three offerings, which can be tailored to individual clients' needs. These offerings include: strategic services, which help clients determine how to build their brand and e-communities, as well as Web-enable their businesses functions; development and implementation services that identify how to deploy client Web strategies; and management services that include operations outsourcing, community management and continuous improvement.
The three services offerings are based on what Keane refers to as an "e-solutions" approach, which includes: business design; creative design; and technical design.
Keane, a Boston-based firm that specializes in helping companies plan, build and manage application software will contribute business process and operations improvement, project management and IT consulting skills to the partnership. Sterling Commerce, a Dublin, Ohio-based provider of Internet e-commerce solutions will contribute to the partnership by providing its COMMERCE, CONNECT and GENTRAN product families, consulting services and community management services.
