Conference Prepares AS/400 Market for V4R4 Implementation
As OS/400 V4R4 begins to seep into the AS/400 market, The 400 Group (Dedham, Mass.), Search400.com and MIDRANGE Systems continue their "Get Ready for V4R4" conference tour. The conference's next stop is July 13-14 at the Navy Pier in Chicago.
"Get Ready for V4R4" is a two-day conference designed for AS/400 shops installing V4R4 in 1999. The conference will provide attendees with a blueprint of how to get up and running with V4R4 and exploit its new features.
The conference has three primary areas of concentration: V4R4 installation and configuration; best ways to exploit new features and enhancements; and hidden "gotchas" and common mistakes to avoid. Other areas of interest include: logical partitioning and clustering; CA/400 new Express client; IBM new licensing, pricing and service policies; RPG, ILE and Java; Web and security; Domino; NT, TCP/IP and performance tips.
