<font size=-1>HP MAKES WIDE RANGE OF PRICE CUTS ON FULL LINE OF PENTIUM III PCS AND WORKSTATIONS

How Low Can They Go?

HP has announced sweeping price cuts up to 14% across the full range of its Pentium III-based HP Brio business PCs, HP Vectra corporate PCs and HP Kayak PC Workstations.
  • A HP Kayak XA-s PC Workstation with Pentium III 500MHz processor, 128MB SDRAM, 9.1GB SCSI hard-disk drive, ELSA Gloria Synergy+ graphics card with 8MB SGRAM and Windows NT 4.0 is expected to sell for an estimated price of $2,685, a reduction of about 14%. The HP Kayak PC Workstation line now starts at just $1,455.
  • A HP Vectra VL PC, with a Pentium III 450MHz processor, 64MB SDRAM, 6.4GB Ultra-ATA hard-disk drive, 32X CD-ROM drive and Windows 95 is expected to sell for an estimated price of $1,380, a reduction of 10%.
  • A HP Brio BA PC, designed for small- to medium-sized businesses, with Pentium III 400MHz processor, 32MB SDRAM, 4.3GB Ultra ATA hard-disk drive, and Windows 98 is expected to sell for an estimated price of $899, a reduction of 5%.
These price cuts reflect recent price reductions from suppliers, in addition to savings gained through HP’s Extended Solutions Partnership Program, a program that enables reseller partners to provide custom-configured solutions to better meet customers' exact price and performance needs.
