IBM and Lawson Team to Establish Competency Center
Looking to provide additional support and service for Lawson INSIGHT II, IBM and Lawson Software announced the establishment of the IBM/Lawson Software International Competency Center. Located at Lawson's headquarters in Minneapolis, the center will provide resources to assist customers and sales teams in the sizing, design and implementation of the Lawson INSIGHT II Business Management System -- which runs on IBM AS/400, Netfinity, RS/600 and S/390 server platforms.
"IBM and Lawson Software teamed to provide solutions together for more than 20 years," says Richard Lawson, president and COO of Lawson Software. "Creating the competency center provides our mutual customers with the information needed to get maximum value from their IBM and Lawson investments."
Among the competency offerings at the center are sizing and configuration assistance for Lawson INSIGHT II, as well as IBM server and network recommendations, benchmark testing and integrating third-party software products that complement Lawson's products.
"The new IBM/Lawson competency center is another indication of our commitment to providing leading-edge whole solutions for the enterprise application market," says Bob Timpson, general manager of solution developer marketing for IBM. "The staff of experts at this center will work to provide the best possible performance of IBM servers with Lawson's highly-scaleable enterprise business management solutions. The combined knowledge and experience of the staff will provide customers with the fastest possible implementation that help speed return on investment."
