IBM PartnerWorld Expansion

IBM announced IBM PartnerWorld, a marketing and enablement program designed to create new revenue and market opportunities for IBM’s Business Partners, and provide customers with e-business solutions including products, services, technologies and financing. PartnerWorld establishes a common design for the sales and marketing support, incentives, education and technical support that enable the selling of IBM solutions, including those that address the needs of the $600 billion e-business marketplace. PartnerWorld will be implemented globally through the creation of: * A common-tiered structure of three membership levels -- Premier, Advanced and Member -- across all business models, brands and offerings. * A common technology infrastructure to support a single online portal for entry to IBM information, support and tools, including tools for conducting commerce and other Web-based transactions with IBM. * A common relationship agreement for all marketing and enablement programs for IBM hardware, software, services and financing across all business models.PartnerWorld will integrate more than 50 different existing programs for Business Partners within IBM. This evolution will make it easier for Business Partners to work with IBM, as many of the existing programs have individual program structures, qualification criteria, terms and conditions and are supported by numerous Web sites with different registration processes. The existing IBM Business Partner agreements that authorize companies to sell and influence the sale of IBM products and services remain in place.
