Lawson Folds Demand Planning into INSIGHT II
In a move to better provide an advanced supply chain solution for mid- to large-size organizations, Lawson Software (Minneapolis) has signed a marketing and product integration agreement with Prescient Systems Inc., a Fort Washington, Pa.-based provider of knowledge-based supply chain solutions.
According to the agreement, Prescient Systems' Demand Planning product--part of the Prescient XE family of supply chain solutions--will be integrated and resold with Lawson INSIGHT II Business Management System.
The combined supply chain solution is expected to integrate Prescient XE Demand Planning module, which controls inventory and generates replenishment orders, and INSIGHT II, which addresses organizations' information and transactional needs.
"Since its release late last year, Prescient XE has been in high demand and very well received by both end-users and industry analysts," says Jonathan Feinbaum, Prescient's director of business development. "Lawson is a great organization and well respected in the industry. This partnership allows us to offer our product to many more companies, including Lawson's install base and new accounts."
