InterNoded and Trend Micro form marketing alliance
Looking to give its Lotus Notes customers an anti-virus protection option, InterNoded, Inc.(Cambridge, Mass.) has formed a marketing alliance with Trend Micro, Inc.(Cupertino, Calif.), aimed at providing administration and virus protection for Lotus Notes infrastructures.
“There is a tremendous amount of synergy between Trend Micro and InterNoded,” says Julie Palen, CEO of InterNoded. “We have similar customers and complimentary products that make a powerful addition to any notes environment. Combining HyperTrac with ScanMail is a natural fit.”
According to the agreement, InterNoded and Trend Micro will jointly market InterNoded’s HyperTrac administration and deployment software with Trend Micro’s ScanMail anti-virus software for Lotus Notes.
HyperTrac is a suite of integrated tools that reduce the total cost of ownership by automating the tasks associated with Notes and Domino administration and migration. ScanMail for Lotus Notes and Domino stops viruses from using the Notes environment as a distribution mechanism.
“We are very excited about working with InterNoded, one of the fastest growing Notes solutions providers,” says Allan Thompson, director of global alliances for Trend Micro. “InterNoded’s extensive customer channels will help us bring our superior Lotus Notes anti-virus solutions to a broader qualified customer base.”
