SSA and SynQuest Join Forces

By Jim Martin

Continuing to expand the ERP capabilities of eBPCS, System Software Associates, Inc. (Chicago) has announced a joint marketing and development agreement with SynQuest, Inc. (Atlanta) that will allow SSA to provide an integrated supply chain solution to its customers that is designed to lower costs.

The companies are jointly developing software to integrate SynQuest Manufacturing Manager software, a planning and executing application that is part of SynQuest Supply Chain Performance Series, with eBPCS. The main focus will be discrete manufacturing segments, which make up approximately 50 percent of SSA’s installed base.

The agreement authorizes SSA to sell SynQuest Manufacturing Manager Software in SSA’s existing customer base and to prospective customers globally.

“This agreement will allow SSA to provide its customers with an integrated software solution to optimize operational and financial performance of their supply chains,” says Chris Jones, Senior VP of marketing and corporate development at SynQuest. “It will allow them to maximize production schedules based on cost, cycle time and on-time delivery requirements."
