By Ken Deats
Attachmate Corp. (Bellevue, Wash.) has unveiled the latest release of its KEA! X 4.1, a PC X server for Unix host access. KEA! X 4.1 provides Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT users with a complete X-focused, TCP/IP solution that includes the ability to access enterprise systems using VT, TN3270e and TN5250 emulation.
Designed for easy administration, KEA! X 4.1 includes a management console for remote administration, automatic support for dial-up LBX connections and fully customizable support for every Windows color mode. The management console simplifies software deployment, configuration and administration, helping to control overhead costs and reduce TCO.

X is a complete, high-value solution for Unix and mainframe connectivity organizations.”
Other features of KEA! X 4.1 include:
- TN3270 and TN5250 support

- Integrated NFS client for file and print access to Unix hosts
- Copy rectangle support to copy text or non-text data in bitmap format
