AvantGo Teams with HP

AvantGo, Inc. announced a relationship with Hewlett-Packard Company to offer AvantGo.com on the new HP Jornada 430se Palm-size PC. With access to AvantGo.com out of the box, HP Jornada 430se users can bridge the gap between work and play, making their life more organized, more productive and more fun by quickly and easily accessing personal and corporate information while docked to their desktop PCs, off-line or via a dial-up connection in real-time, any time, anywhere.

AvantGo.com allows HP Jornada Palm-size PC customers to immediately put the power of the Web in the palm of their hand. It is the first and only interactive service on the Web to give individuals connectivity to personalized content and thousands of Web-based applications via their handheld devices. AvantGo.com is available free of charge to individuals with HP Jornada Palm-size PCs and other handheld computers based on the Microsoft Windows CE and Palm Computing platforms. For mobile professionals, the same AvantGo Client software available with the new HP Jornada 430se is capable of accessing AvantGo Enterprise, AvantGo’s server software that delivers enterprise applications and data to handheld devices.

With AvantGo software, HP Jornada Palm-size PC users can access the information that is most important to them when and where it is most convenient. For example, AvantGo.com registered users can visit Hollywood.com online and use their new HP Jornada 430se Palm-size PC to find the latest movie listings, while other individuals can use their HP Jornada brand devices to visit one of AvantGo.com’s interactive stock sites to access personal portfolios.

"With AvantGo.com’s Internet service, users of our new HP Jornada 430se Palm-size PC are able to browse content while mobile, enabling them access to information whenever and wherever they need it," said Kheng Joo Khaw, General Manager of HP’s Asia Pacific PC Division.
