IBM and Lawson Announce AS/400e Custom Server with Lawson Software

In an effort to bring a fully integrated, complete e-business solution to the mid-market, IBM and Lawson Software (Minneapolis) have joined forces to deliver AS/400e Custom Server with Lawson Software. The new package, which is generally available now, integrates AS/400 hardware, Lotus Domino software and the LAWSON INSIGHT business management system.
IBM will pre-load the AS/400e based on customer’s request. The customer can choose any of the LAWSON INSIGHT packages—Financials, Human Resources, Procurement and/or supply chain process suites.
“The IBM AS/400e Custom Server for Lawson Software allows companies to easily integrate messaging and workflow throughout the enterprise, instantly moving mission-critical information to those who need it,” says Dean Hager, VP, IBM business practice at Lawson Software. “This lets organizations jump-start their e-business initiatives with an end-to-end solution that includes the platform, front office, back office, infrastructure, financing and complementary resources.”
Customers can choose any of the AS/400e servers, including the Dedicated Domino Server. The Custom Server is available through IBM, Lawson’s direct sales force and Lawson’s STAR (Strategic Territory Affiliate Relationship) partners.
