SynQuest and IBM Provide Supply Chain Solution
SynQuest and IBM today announced an advanced planning and scheduling e-business software solution for IBM AS/400e servers. The SynQuest solution for AS/400, available during the first quarter of 2000, is SynQuest Manufacturing Manager Software, which is a component of the SynQuest Supply Chain
Performance Series. SynQuest Manufacturing Manager is designed to integrate operational planning and execution across a supply chain.
"We expect this solution to help AS/400 customers achieve new levels of performance and productivity," says Chris Jones, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Development, SynQuest. "It will allow mid-sized to large AS/400 customers to reduce cycle times, inventory and work-in-process, as well as provide a way to link suppliers via the Internet for improved e-business performance. The SynQuest Manufacturing Manager software will be supported by IBM Global Services implementation and integration services and by IBM Global Financing, which will provide financial options for the entire solution.
