DOCUMENTUM User Group Established
Infodata Systems Inc., a company specializing in Web-based knowledge management and enterprise document solutions, has established a DOCUMENTUM Users Group in the Washington D.C. Capital Area. The User Group will provide support for all area users and help facilitate DOCUMENTUM Inc.’s expansion into the federal market.
Infodata and DOCUMENTUM held an initial meeting last June that was attended by nearly 100 people, including a mix of business managers, technical specialists and DOCUMENTUM software end users. Future meetings will include real-life customization and integration case studies presented by users, demos of DOCUMENTUM4j and the Innovation Application Series, strategies for using new technology, such as interactive portals and XML, and "how-to" development sessions regarding migration paths, new techniques and best practices.
"We’ve held user group meetings all over the country, but this was one of the largest turnouts at an initial meeting," observes Brian Wick, Director of Global Marketing for the Services Industries. "We are pleased to see such an active and interested user base since we are aggressively pursuing feedback from the federal marketplace."
