IBM to Market Vanguard’s AS/400 Specific Product

By Jim Martin

Looking to expand the market for its AS/400 specific product line, Vanguard Solutions Group Inc., (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) has announced a new marketing agreement with IBM. The agreement gives IBM the right to sell and promote Vanguard’s Graphical Performance Series (GPS) business intelligence/data warehouse product within North America.

Vanguard’s GPS product line provides executives and managers with a wide set of their business analytics in the fastest time due to pre-developed subject area extracts to major systems. It also includes a data warehouse engine, integrated OLAP front end, field-level security, Internet browser and Windows front end.

“There is a lot more to e-business than e-commerce. Turning raw information and data into actionable intelligence is fast becoming one of the most critical management tools of cutting edge business leaders,” says Bill Barnes, general manager at IBM Global Business Intelligence Solutions.

A global software solutions company specializing in BI/DW solutions for ERP systems, Vanguard has been an IBM business partner for the past five years.

“This agreement, along with our customers’ successes, confirms our strategy. We deliver complete end-user solutions that provide value in far less time and offer much more than just a set of business intelligence (BI) tools for custom development projects,” says Vanguard president Tony Bailo. “This new agreement further expands our relationship with IBM and provides more market awareness for GPS.”
