HP Reports 10% Revenue Growth in 4Q99
HP reported 10 percent revenue growth for the 1999 fiscal year's fourth fiscal quarter ending Oct. 31, 1999. Net revenue from continuing operations was $11.4 billion, compared with $10.3 billion in last year's fourth fiscal quarter.
EPS (earnings per share) from continuing operations1 was 75 cents before expenses related to the spin-off of Agilent Technologies. This compares with EPS of 72 cents in the fourth quarter of last year. Including spin-off-related expenses of 2 cents per share, EPS was 73 cents per share on a diluted basis2 on approximately 1.05 billion shares of common stock and common-stock equivalents outstanding.
The company reported net earnings of $760 million from continuing operations for the 1999 fourth quarter.
