Expanding its product reach, Powerware Corp. (Raleigh, N.C.) has announced it has signed a worldwide agreement with IBM that will allow IBM Global Services to resell Powerware’s complete product and service portfolio, including hardware, software and technical services.
“Powerware is in a class by itself, and our long-standing relationship with IBM is built upon our continued commitment to provide customers with world-class power protection solutions and the assurance that their critical data is protected,” says Dan Squiller, president of Lambda, North America and Global Accounts. “This agreement is the natural next step for our two companies and further deepens the relationships that we have built with IBM.”
Known mainly in the computer industry for its UPS products and services, Powerware’s product line includes UPSs ranging from simple units to advanced systems for large-scale enterprises. Powerware also has pre-configured UPS solutions for a variety of IBM products, including the AS/400.
“This reseller agreement expands our ability to offer customers comprehensive power protection solutions worldwide,” says David D. Kennedy, global solutions manager, Site and Connectivity for IBM Global Services. “Now, customers can readily tap IBM Global Services to help them implement power protection solutions.”
