Grant Thornton & Bluestone Form E-Business Alliance
Grant Thornton LLP, an accounting and management consulting organization, launched its Total-e-Business Services initiative, which is based upon the Total-e-Business product suite from Bluestone Software Inc. With its Total-e-Business Services initiative, Grant Thornton can unify all aspects of its clients' online activities, including business-to-business, business-to-consumer, information publishing and legacy-to-Web integration efforts on an e-business platform.
In addition, Grant Thornton has entered a consulting services agreement with Bluestone, whereby a large number of consultants in Grant Thornton's Advanced Technology Solutions unit will supplement Bluestone's Advanced Technology Group for an exclusive, year-long engagement to help Bluestone meet the growing demand for Total-e-Business solutions. Grant Thornton has made a strategic decision to develop this initiative on the Total-e-Business platform, which will be used, in whole or in part, for internal initiatives, as well as for client e-business solutions.
Total-e-Business combines components for content management, personalization and e-commerce with Bluestone's Sapphire/Web application server infrastructure and Bluestone XML Suite integration server -- based on JSP and XML standards.
