Expanding its ability to deliver e-business solutions, Savoir Technology Group (San Antonio)--a leading distributor in the midrange market, including the AS/400—has announced a software alliance with IBM. Through the agreement, Savior will incorporate a variety of IBM e-business technologies to enhance its infrastructure for delivering e-business solutions.
By incorporating IBM software technology, Savoir’s solution providers will be able to assist companies in leveraging information and integrating existing applications within their enterprise. Savoir will now be offering products such as WebSphere, IBM Net.Commerce and MQSeries, among others.
“This program will make it much easier for our business partners to deliver customized e-business solutions to businesses of all sizes, many of which are quickly moving to become Web-enabled companies,” says Joe Mertens, president and CEO of Savoir Technology Group. “By combining IBM’s industry-leading technology with our expertise in service and training support for IBM products, we are making it easy for our partners to transform their customers into successful e-business.”
Savoir will also be creating a team of personnel dedicated to sales, support and training for IBM e-business software technology. They will offer e-business certification classes, as well as training resellers on software, marketing and consulting services.
“Savoir’s software alliance will expand its e-business solutions capability and complement its IBM server experience and expertise,” says Wally Casey, VP, Worldwide Channel Sales, IBM Software Group. “IBM’s broad range of e-business software technologies will enable Savoir’s business partners to address the needs of their customers with state of the art, scalable and reliable software that is required in today’s marketplace.”
