In an attempt to better serve hundreds of its banking customers running core business operations on AS/400 platforms, TREEV (Herndon, Va.) has introduced new technology which will allow those users to view reports and statements stored on a DataTREEV server.

TREEV, a provider of Web-enabled enterprisewide integrated content management solutions, this week announced the beta release of AS View. The product provides AS/400 viewing capabilities for customers using TREEV’s Enterprise Report Management (ERM) product, DataTREEV, a high-volume storage and retrieval program. AS View is designed to meet the demands of banks that have mixed terminal and PC netowork environments, multiple-branch locations and the need to manage information with an ERM system.

“Because TREEV’s products are the ideal solution for the banking industry, we developed AS View to support the AS/400 platform, which is widely used within the banking community,” says Thomas A. Wilson, president and CEO of TREEV. “The release of AS View continues to demonstrate TREEV’s commitment to providing solutions that meet the specific needs of the industry.”

AS View allows easy report retrieval, fast response time and minimal use of AS/400 host CPU and DASD resources, without requiring hardware or software upgrades. The product features 5250 terminal support, multi-branch support and Positions Bank for Web delivery of all documents. It requires an AS/400 v3 or v4 environment with 5250 terminals or a PC with 5250 emulation and networked PCs, TCP/IP support for AS/400 and DataTREEV 2000.

Pricing for AS View starts from $3,250 for a five-user configuration. The beta version can be obtained by contacting TREEV at (800) 254-0994 or info@treev.com. The product is expected to be generally available next month.
