Hotel Information Adds Web Access to Paragon+

Looking to enhance the capabilities of its Paragon AS/400 Property Management System to include Web access and other new features, Hotel Information Systems (Irvine, Calif.), a division of MAI Systems Corp., recently announced the introduction of Paragon+.

Paragon+ enhances the existing Paragon applications into an easily navigable Web-like experience without architecturally restoring the core AS/400 application. Menu options, screen design and navigation have been updated to deliver a browser-based computing experience.

The new add-on increases the navigation capabilities of Paragon, providing users with single-button Internet access and seamless integration to other desktop and business applications such as Microsoft Word. It also enables users to deploy leading end-user environments, such as Java and Active X, in any combination.

“Paragon+ solidifies our commitment to provide the latest technological advances to our customers in a manner that protects their substantial investment in the AS/400 platform,” says Mark Smith, Paragon AS/400 product manager. “Paragon+ takes the first steps toward a long-term commitment to e-business enablement, seamless application integration and flexible deployment options for our customers.”

Built with JWalk, SEAGULL’s development and deployment solution for e-business enabling host applications assets, Paragon+ is immediately available.
