MPI Technologies & HP to Provide Host-to-Print Solutions
MPI Technologies has entered a joint marketing alliance with Hewlett-Packard, to provide distributed host printing solutions across multiple applications and systems, including IBM Mainframe and midrange systems, to output documents simultaneously on HP printers.
As part of HP's LaserJet Accessible Architecture Initiative, MPI Technologies has developed the Blue Kit and Blue Server. The Blue Kit is a DIMM-based solution offering native AFP/IPDS capability to any LaserJet over Coax, Twinax or LAN attachments. The Blue Server is a NT/Novell print server that allows SCS and IPDS seamless printing on LAN-attached LaserJets from IBM Host systems.
