Stampede Ships Advanced Lotus Notes Server Acceleration
Stampede Technologies, an acceleration software developer, has added to its TurboGold product family for Lotus Notes. The new products, for the IBM AS/400 and IBM RS/6000 (AIX) servers, join the already released Windows NT server version. Client/Server and Server-to-Server TurboGold accelerators are available on all three platforms.
TurboGold’s new server software fits seamlessly into IBM’s AS/400 and RS/6000 (AIX) server and Domino architecture. TurboGold adapts to different workloads and incorporates the ability to grow with the customer’s network as new clients and servers are added. As it does so, TurboGold enhances the flow of Lotus Notes information throughout the network, whether it is on Windows NT servers or the new Advanced Server products for IBM AS/400 and RS/6000 (AIX) servers.
TurboGold incorporates caching, compression and streaming techniques to accelerate the replication of Lotus Notes databases to and from mobile or remote users, as well as between Domino Servers. The IBM AS/400 servers and the RS/6000 (AIX) servers have been designed to help companies manage growth by delivering better performance, scalability, manageability, serviceability, security and interoperability. They provide the means to run mission-critical applications, including Lotus Domino’s collaborative software. Lotus Domino combines functions such as e-mail, document management, calendaring and scheduling, and other groupware facilities to let employees work together more effectively over corporate networks and the Internet.
First customer shipments of TurboGold’s Advanced Server products are scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2000. Single server prices start at $6,295 and volume discounts are available.
