Stampede Offers Price Incentives for DSD Users

A special promotion announced at COMMON 2000 this week will make Stampede Technologies’ TurboGold Accelerator more affordable for users of the AS/400e Dedicated Server for Domino.

TurboGold is software designed to increase performance and conserve bandwidth by using patented caching, compression and streaming technology to accelerate replications of Lotus Notes data to and from servers and remote users, or between multiple DSD servers. Stampede is a Premier Lotus Business Partner and a partner in the IBM Solution Developer Program.

Beginning April 3 and continuing through the end of the year, Stampede will offer a TurboGold 50-client license, an Advanced Server Verifier license and two Advanced Server-to-Server licenses for $3,995, a savings of 83 percent over the cost of purchasing each license separately. Stampede is hoping customers will take advantage of such a significant discount and view the offer as a kind of trial run of the product. Their goal is to convince those customers to renew their licenses for the long term.

“We believe very strongly that any customer who tries our TurboGold software and experiences its benefits firsthand will come back for more,” says Gordon Dorworth, president and CEO of Stampede. “That’s what prompted us to offer this special pricing program to IBM AS/400e customers. Selecting the AS/400e server platform for this promotion was easy—there simply is no better Domino server in the marketplace today than the AS/400e. With TurboGold, the AS/400e running Notes boosts performance to an impressive level.”
