GFI & Norman Ally to Fight Virus
GFI and Norman have teamed up to integrate the Norman Virus Engine with GFI's e-mail security gateway, Mail essentials. Through this seamless integration with Norman Virus Control, Mail essentials users will receive automatic anti-virus updates and searching facilities from Norman. Additionally, virus detection can be conducted from the Mails essentials configuration and also from within Exchange Administrator.
"Thanks to the Mail essentials integration with the Norman anti-virus engine, consumers can now enjoy extra value. For the price of a normal e-mail anti-virus gateway, customers will receive not only the anti-virus module but also a wide range of other useful features that form an integral part of Mail essentials. These include content filtering, anti-spam measures, disclaimers, server-based encryption, e-mail management and more," Nick Galea, GFI President, points out.
The Norman virus detector is also certified by the ICSA and West Coast Labs, an independent organization that checks the quality of virus products.
Mail essentials for Exchange/SMTP is an e-mail content security and anti-virus gateway that removes all types of e-mail-borne threats before they can affect an organization's e-mail users. Spam, viruses, dangerous attachments and offensive content can be removed before they reach the mail server. In addition, Mail essentials offers server-based e-mail encryption, disclaimers and other e-mail features.
