PentaSafe Joins Red Hat's ISV Program
PentaSafe Security Technologies Inc., a developer of enterprise IT auditing and security software, has joined the Independent Software Vendor Partner Program of Red Hat Inc. By joining the ISV Partner Program, PentaSafe gains an important level of support and access to the Red Hat Linux community. PentaSafe's 10 Point Security Check Up Report for Linux will be available for download from the Red Hat Web site this month. In addition, PentaSafe's VigilEnt Security Agent will be available in the 2nd Quarter of 2000 for security administrators seeking full auditing and security management functionality for Linux systems.
The VigilEnt Security Agent for Linux is a suite of intelligent services residing on one or more Linux machines in a given domain. The agents gather requested information from targeted hosts to create comprehensive and interactive reports on the security status of each Linux system. If a weakness is found, immediate action can be taken that is completely automated to correct the problem across all the Linux machines.
