Rare Medium Joins IBM's Web Integrator Initiative

IBM Web Integrator Rare Medium Group Inc. has signed a strategic alliance with IBM that will expand its network of IBM Centers of Excellence (COEs) to a total of 10 offices. The agreement provides a framework for Rare Medium and IBM to combine on future engagements ranging from Web development and integration to venture capital strategy and the development of local e-business incubators.

In the COEs, Rare Medium employees will focus on implementing Internet solutions across a wide range of IBM technologies, including AS/400, WebSphere Commerce Server 4.1, DB2, MQ Series, RS/6000, Netfinity and more. IBM and Rare Medium will also collaborate on go-to-market solutions designed to enhance potential client identification, solutions consulting and overall customer relationship management.
