ROI Systems, Agile Software Improve MANAGE 2000

Looking to improve the e-business capabilities of its MANAGE 2000 ERP product, ROI Systems Inc. (Minneapolis) has joined forces with Agile Software Corp., a provider of collaborative manufacturing commerce solutions. Through the partnership, ROI has developed a configurable interface to link MANAGE 2000 to Agile Anywhere, Agile’s Web-centric product content management solution.
By linking the two products together, MANAGE 2000 will help manufacturers improve communications and accelerate time-to-market by improving the management of product content, costs and quality across the e-supply chain. MANAGE 2000 runs on the AS/400, NT and Unix platforms.
“By collaborating with Agile Software, we have strengthened MANAGE 2000’s e-business capabilities,” says Bill Pasarra, ROI’s executive VP of marketing. “The combined technologies enhance the system’s ability to share and manage engineering product content and changes in real-time across the Internet.”
The ROI interface uses ChangeSTAT, the interface component of the Agile Anywhere suite, to keep multiple bills of materials databases synchronized across a supply chain. Updated information is published through ChangeSTAT via the Internet to supply chain partners. Through the MANAGE 2000 link, any changes in product information is then updated to the ERP system.
“The Agile/ROI solution breaks down the barriers between a company and its outsourced manufacturing and supply chain partners, enabling seamless, truly collaborative manufacturing, resulting in much faster time-to-market and time-to-volume,” added Ray Hein, Agile Software’s director of marketing alliances.
