NEON Systems Enters Landmark Agreement

NEON Systems, a provider of eBusiness Integration, Security, and Subsystem Management software products, has entered an OEM license agreement with Landmark Systems. This agreement will allow Landmark to develop a next-generation Internet-powered system to manage mission-critical IT and eBusiness operations on S/390 mainframe platforms using the NEON Systems Shadow Web Server for OS/390 technology.

NEON Systems plans to integrate Landmark’s forthcoming IMS/TM mainframe transaction monitoring system, The Monitor (TMON) for IMS, with its next generation IMS/DB database management tool, NEON 24X7. This combination of technology will provide data center managers and administrators a comprehensive single point of control for managing the performance and availability of IMS data and transactions. Initial delivery of TMON for IMS is currently expected for late Q4 of 2000.

"The combination of the Landmark TMON for IMS and NEON 24X7 technologies ... will address the management of an IMS e-business environment from one single point of control. Bottom line: we are providing a good night's sleep for our customers: reliability, performance, and availability -- from one integrated solution," says Joe Backer, president and CEO of NEON Systems.
