UniComp Launches Internet Payment Processing System

Continuing to focus on bringing its solutions to the retail e-business community, UniComp Inc. (Marietta, Ga.), a provider of AS/400-based vertical software applications for small and large companies, resellers and system integrators located worldwide, has announced the launch of its Internet Payment Processing System (IPPS). A single-source retail e-business suite of services, IPPS streamlines e-commerce merchandising and provides a secure shopping community for online shoppers.
IPPS provides a shopping cart system, accepts credit card and/or personal check payments and provides a transaction-processing gateway, all from a single-source interface. The IPPS merchants process the payments from a remotely hosted transaction gateway server.
“We now have a fully developed suite of e-business solutions integrated with our core transaction processing engine,” says UniComp VP Steve Palazzo. “Our retail e-business solutions will provide the vehicle for new or traditional brick and mortar merchants to quickly become cyber merchants. We provide the e-commerce business tools and infrastructure and they concentrate on what they do best -- selling products. These new cyber merchants can take advantage of our Web site design team, Web hosting service, or simply choose to use our shopping cart system or merchant management applications using one single point interface -- UniComp.”
To complement the IPPS announcement, UniComp has also added a new shopping community to online shoppers, the Tranzparent.Community (new window). When a shopper registers on an IPPS-enabled Web site, they have the option of storing their personal information, such as the credit card number, on the secure gateway server. Shoppers will have protected access to edit their information at any time.
