CA & Partners Provide Remote E-Business

Computer Associates International Inc. (CA) has signed several leading VARs as remote managed services partners to provide outsourcing for their clients' IT environments. CA partners are building their Network Operations Centers (NOC) around Unicenter TNG, their enterprise management solution and NetworkIT, CA's powerful centralized management solution for distributed networks. CA Services will be available to augment a partner's NOC and can help with setting up the partner's network infrastructure.

NOCs provide businesses with remote network management services that enable them to focus specifically on their core strengths while knowing that their infrastructures are being proficiently managed through the deployment of CA's software solutions.

Partners that have also joined CA's VIP Channel Partner Program, are reselling CA's Unicenter TNG and NetworkIT, and have targeted small and medium-sized businesses with remote managed services offerings. These services are particularly attractive to mid-sized businesses that might not have the expertise or financial resources to staff and manage IT operations.

"CA is actively recruiting channel partners who want to be in the remote managed services space to fulfill the IT needs of small to medium businesses," says Mark Marron, CA’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales. Clients can outsource managing their eBusiness and IT environment to third parties and have them assume daily operations, network and system monitoring and management, desktop and performance management, diagnostic troubleshooting and support. CA and its partners are using NOCs to lower their clients' IT operating expenditures, allowing clients to free up resources to focus on their core eBusinesses.

CA is building this emerging business channel with partners who have signed recent agreements, including: BlueSpring.com, New York, N.Y.; Computer Network Solutions, Plainview, N.Y.; Datanet1, Cincinnati; EXENET Technologies Inc., New York; Information Technology Resources, Buena Park, Calif.; Innovative Networks, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Panurgy, Denville, N.J.

Channel partners who join CA's VIP program as remote managed services providers will be supported with sales and technical training, demo software, business consulting and marketing programs. They will also be able to obtain software through CA's distribution partners. CA Education will provide comprehensive training and certification on CA solutions, designed to transfer knowledge and expertise that partners can put to immediate use in exploiting business opportunities.
