Hummingbird Opens Portal on Financial Services Industry
Jim Martin
On the heels of its vertical-market legal portal launched in March, Hummingbird Ltd. (Toronto) is continuing its strategy of delivering enterprise information portals (EIP) targeted for specific vertical markets with the launch of its Financial Frameworks 2.0.
Targeting the financial services industry, Financial Frameworks 2.0 enables financial companies to accelerate access to business data from across their information supply chain.
Financial Frameworks specifically targets the risk management challenges that most financial institutions face with a set of pre-built analytic components for credit and operational risk management, profitability reporting, customer analysis, sales prospecting and quality standards compliance.
Some of the integrated tools include: logical, dimensional and physical data models, source system extraction specifications, target system extracts and loads, a database information repository, a metadata repository with appropriate extensions, and an extensive set of standard reports and queries.
Hummingbird worked closely with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC, Toronto), a leading North American financial institution, to develop Financial Frameworks. CIBC is also the first company to deploy Hummingbird’s newest vertical portal solution.
“We have been very pleased to work with Hummingbird to implement this leading financial information solution,” says Wes Gill, VP, credit risk policy and portfolio management at CIBC. “Financial Frameworks provides an impressive technology infrastructure that keeps pace with real-world information flow and our absolute requirements for instant response, continuous analysis and reporting.”
