Wonderware Releases Newest AS/400-Based Asset Management

Wonderware (Irvine, Calif.) has announced Avantis.XA 2.0, its suite of AS/400 asset management solutions designed to help companies improve procurement and maintenance operations.
Responding to demand, the newest version has 18 new functionality enhancements -- voted in or identified by customers and users -- that will improve maintenance scheduling, requisitioning, inventory, purchasing and invoicing capabilities.
Avantis.XA applications are completely integrated and can be quickly installed and implemented in multiple industries to manage production assets, vehicles and facilities. Some of the application functions include: work management, project accounting, preventive maintenance, MRQ inventory, procurement, imaging, EDI link, approval, and EIS.
“This enhanced version of Avantis.XA incorporates the important features and new functional improvements our customer base has asked for,” says Mary Jane Pearson, Avantis.XA product manager. “Avantis.XA 2.0 provides integration enhancements with the graphical user interface to Microsoft desktop applications, as well as enhancements in the requisitioning area to completely automate the procurement process, providing a truly paperless solution.”
