Solant, Inc. (Boulder, Colo.), a provider of Internet-based customer care products, is expanding its AS/400 sales channel through a partnership with Houston-based Strategic Systems, Inc., an AS/400 reseller and IBM business partner.

Through the agreement, Solant is licensing its portfolio of applications to Strategic Systems, who will market and sell them to its AS/400 customers. According to Solant, the partnership is primarily designed for customers who have the need for an enterprise-class e-commerce solution.

“As an IBM Business Partner, we are pleased to join Strategic Systems in providing a one-two punch; a comprehensive e-commerce solution on top of IBM’s scalable and reliable enterprise class and midrange systems,” says John Hansen, CEO of Solant. “Partnering with a proven IBM-reseller gives us the opportunity to increase the momentum of Internet-based customer care and electronic bill presentment and payment.”

For Strategic Systems, the alliance enables them to offer their AS/400 customers a solution for interactive customer care, electronic bill presentment and payment, Internet order entry/product catalog and Internet help desk. Solant’s software will be offered on a range of servers, including IBM’s recently announced new line of AS/400s.
