AFP Technology Adds XML to FormScape 2.3

AFP Technology (Morrisville, N.C.) has announced the release of FormScape 2.3 with expanded support for e-commerce and B2B business communications for AS/400, mainframe, Unix, Linux and NT platforms.

FormScape allows users to transform enterprise-managed data from ERP and e-commerce systems into dynamic business documents and reports, which can then be distributed to any network-connected destination, including printers, e-mail, fax, Web-servers, cell phones and PDAs. FormScape complements this distribution with a built-in networked document archive for the storage of processed documents and reports. And, this release offers XML input and output processing capabilities.

"In today's world of e-commerce business, the presentation and delivery of information has become vital," states Eddie Riddell, VP of marketing and strategic business development, AFP Technology. "FormScape offers enhanced process support by streamlining business transactions and reducing overall costs for the distribution, storage, retrieval and management of business information."

AFP Technology has fostered alliances with companies such as Microsoft, SAP, J.D. Edwards and Lawson Software to ensure FormScape integrates seamlessly with these systems. In addition to XML, FormScape also supports the processing of HTML, PDF, CSV, PCL, Postscript, ASCII and XES data streams.
