MAPICS Offers Enhanced Enterprise Software for Manufacturers

MAPICS Inc. (Atlanta) has released the latest version of XA 6.0, its AS/400 Extended Enterprise Application (EEA) with enhancements to the product’s data extraction and e-business transaction tools.

Specific improvements to the product’s FoundationWeRX tool set include enhanced multi-plant and supply chain execution functionality. In addition, several features have been added to the DecisionWeRX data extraction component of EEA. The new version of the tool, which is used to extract data from the foundation layer, now includes enhanced client architecture functions, materials management capability, order based production management and financial reporting functions.

XA 6.0, intended specifically for use by manufacturers, is also integrated with three new products MAPICS released earlier this year. TeamWeRx is a B2B portal designed to facilitate online supply chain collaboration in the manufacturing space. Product Development Collaboration MAGIK! allows project teams to collaborate and communicate remotely over the Web. The final new release included in the product is MAPICS’ financial analysis and reporting tool, FRx.
