Acta, Allaire Collaborate on Integrated B2B Solution

Acta Technology, which provides a platform for accessing enterprise data across multiple channels in the network, and Allaire, provider of the ColdFusion Web application server, announced that they are integrating their technologies. The combined solution is designed to get businesses up and running in the B2B market as quickly as possible.

The Acta and Allaire products represent a similar approach to eCommerce because both are designed to help companies bring their existing business interactions online. Acta's data platform allows for rapid access to both real-time and historical information from back-office systems, such as ERP applications, by combining a real-time data server with packaged eCaches that contain both the data and associated business logic. Allaire ColdFusion helps businesses using Acta's technology to bring systems that were not originally programmed for e-commerce onto the Web rapidly and without large investments in implementation or hardware.

"Allaire customers want best-of-breed solutions to help them compete in B2B environments, but cannot always bring data from the back office to the Web," Jeremy Allaire, co-founder and CTO of Allaire, said in a statement. "This partnership will enable Allaire customers to bring data not developed for the Internet to the Web faster and more cost-efficiently than ever before."
