SERENA Change Management to Add AS/400 Support
SERENA Software Inc. (Burlingame, Calif.), a supplier of e-business change management solutions, has announced that its eChange Man solution will support AS/400 environments. The product features low bandwidth, open architecture and integration with popular integrated development environments.
"Extending their solution to support the AS/400 puts SERENA in the unique position of being able to support all IBM platforms," says Clive Burrows, principal consultant, Ovum Ltd. "As IBM continues to concentrate on e-commerce initiatives, IBM-centric customers will find real value in SERENA's ability to provide consistent, streamlined Software Change Management throughout their organization."
"By extending their eChange Man solution to include the popular AS/400 platform, SERENA continues to demonstrate their commitment to supporting IBM environments," adds Doug Fulmer, worldwide segment manager for application development tools and middleware for AS/400. "The AS/400 is a widely accepted, highly scaleable platform with excellent Internet capabilities that can be leveraged to support e-business. SERENA shares our commitment to have the AS/400 platform play a leading role as companies seek to gain competitive advantage in Internet commerce."
AS/400 support will be available in Q3 2000. eChange Man 5.2 will support the following platforms: Windows, Windows NT, Unix (HP-UX, IBM AIX, Sun Solaris OS, OS/390 USS, and Linux), MPE/iX, and OS/400.
