SoftScreen Acquires CCT, Changes Name to SafeStone

Enterprise IT and security and management software provider SoftScreen Group (Princeton, N.J.) has acquired CCT UK Ltd., an AS/400-based security software player best known for its DetectIT security portfolio.
As part of the acquisition, the two companies will now be known as SafeStone Technologies PLC.
The SafeStone DetectIT security portfolio provides comprehensive management in all aspects of AS/400 security—from auditing to e-business security to application and access control for single-or multiple-networked AS/400s.
With its flexibility that allows the modules to stand-alone or be fully integrated, DetectIT can be tailored to meet the individual needs of customers. According to SafeStone, DetectIT has the only AS/400 interface into RSA SecurlD for two-tier authentication with an open connectivity environment.
