DataMirror Adds Value to IBM’s High Availability Offer

DataMirror Corporation (Toronto), a provider of enterprise-wide data replication, replenishment and resiliency software, has announced a special pricing promotion on its High Availability Suite for IBM AS/400. This announcement coincides with IBM’s launch of its special rebate promotion.
Customers purchasing a new target AS/400 are eligible for a 15-percent hardware discount; customers choosing to upgrade their AS/400 get a 10-percent discount on the hardware. Also, AS/400 software subscriptions from IBM will get a 50-percent discount. DataMirror, an IBM High Availability Business Partner, extends the offer by offering a 50-percent discount on an iCluster or High Availability Suite for a new target AS/400, as well as a 25-percent discount on software for upgrade systems. Only customers eligible for the IBM discount will be eligible for the DataMirror discount.
To be eligible for the offer, installation must be made before Dec. 31, 2000; pricing is custom quoted based on the computing environment.
DataMirror software integrates data among multiple databases, including the IBM AS/400. Its iCluster software enables businesses to approach 99.999% continuity, while its High Availability Suite captures objects from primary systems and mirrors them in real-time to one or more recovery AS/400s.
