Hummingbird Unveils Enterprise Portal Suite

Hummingbird Ltd. (North York, Canada), a provider of enterprise software solutions and a major player in the AS/400 market, has announced the first fully integrated scalable, end-to-end Enterprise Portal Suite (EPS).

One of the important new features in EPS is that it will enable users to perform collaborative tasks such as checking a business intelligence report into the document management system and building document binders for information delivery, without having to enter a specific application environment to access that particular functionality.

"We are committed to delivering an industry-leading information infrastructure platform that leverages existing application and IT assets, while providing functionality for enterprise reporting, document, knowledge and content management, as well as access to host applications and data," stated Barry Litwin, president, Hummingbird. The first release of EPS is scheduled for shipping in the next thirty days, and will be showcased at Hummingbird’s Summit 2000 in Las Vegas, Oct. 22-25.
