Avaya and ActionPoint Form Alliance

ActionPoint Inc., a provider of e-commerce interaction management software announced an alliance with Avaya Communication, the former Enterprise Networks Group that will be spun off later this year from Lucent Technologies. As a result of the alliance, ActionPoint’s technology will be integrated with Avaya’s new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution, CRM Central 2000. ActionPoint and Avaya are developing joint marketing and sales programs to deliver this solution to Avaya’s Global 2000 customer base. The companies will also explore expanding the solution offering to include ActionPoint’s XML-based Dialog Server product, recently delivered to selected customers for beta testing.

CRM Central 2000 is a suite of software that directs customer contacts — through multiple media channels such as voice, fax, letter, e-mail and Internet — to the appropriate resource based on criteria set up by the business. ActionPoint’s award-winning information capture solution, InputAccel, captures and transforms information received via multiple communication channels, and seamlessly delivers it into e-commerce and other enterprise systems, such as Avaya’s CRM Central 2000, as accurate, e-business ready content.
